Ida Middle School PTO

For success, attitude is equally as important as ability . -Harry F. Banks

This year the PTO is sponsoring a program to help the teachers acquire items that they want/need in their classrooms. These are items that the teachers would love to have to help our children and are generally bought out of their personal monies. This program is OPTIONAL and there is no obligation to purchase anything on these lists.

We thought having an ongoing wish list for each teacher would be helpful for those who like to donate items, give gifts, or have access to these items around their home or office.  We ask each teacher to make a list of items that they need.  You can do this by just putting a note in our PTO mailbox.  If you need specific items a picture or brief description would be great.

Due to budget cuts from the State, teachers have a very small budget.  Anything the teachers need for their classroom for day-to-day learning, i.e.  paper, sharpies, dry erase markers, etc. comes out of this budget.  If the budget has no money left, the teachers use their own money.

We know that the teachers appreciate anything and everything we can do for them.  If you want to participate in this Wish List just purchase something for any teacher and give it to them.  They will be thrilled!  Thank you for your anticipated participation in helping the Teachers

Jan Bower      8th Grade     English

I have some students that would benefit from raised line paper.  It helps students that write "all over the place".

Thanks,
Jan Bower

To the parents:  Research has been done and we have found a place that carries the raised line paper that Mrs. Bower is looking for.
  • Raised Lined Paper-Narrow Rule (125 sheets)  Green  $23.50
  • Raised Lined Paper-Narrow Rule (125 sheets)  Black   $20.95
Please let us know if anyone is interested in donating either the money to purchase, or the actual item needed.

A note from Mrs. Lanna Harmon:

Thanks for all you do for us and for the kids!  The support is felt and appreciated!  Thanks also for the great job you are doing as parents.  Ida kids are awesome!

If it isn't too much - we could use more highlighters for our classroom.

Thanks!
